Main objective: To coordinate and supervise the activities of the Vocational Training Project

Reporting to: AVSI Lebanon Country Representative

Specific duties:

· To plan and coordinate all the project activities according to the donor rules and AVSI procedures;

· To monitor and evaluate the project’s activities including production of the required technical and financial reports ;

· To keep good relations with the Ministries of Agriculture, Social Affairs and Labor (Jordan) to coordinate all project activities;

· To supervise the activities and the relationship with communities, Agriculture Vocational schools in Lebanon, Vocational Training Center in Jordan and the local partners in charge of the TVET courses implementation;

· To supervise the field staff and verify the operational work plans;

· To develop relationships with the Private sector and enhance the internship system in the Countries;

· To coordinate the intervention and facilitate the harmonization between AVSI and OXFAM activities in Lebanon and Jordan, as well as with the other Vocational Projects already in progress;

· Too coordinate the intervention of international experts to implement the activities of mentorship and training addressed to the local teachers;

· To facilitate communication between AVSI and OXFAM staff for the data collection, the training session etc.

· To develop, in collaboration with the AVSI Technical Advisor, a specific module for the volunteer’s training

· To relate with the donor (Agenzia Italiana Cooperazione allo Sviluppo):

· To actively participate to the Regional Meeting in the Country (Working group etc.);

· Any other duty assigned by the Supervisor.

Essential Requirement:

· Degree, preferably in Social Studies, Social Sciences; Master in Humanitarian Studies or International Cooperation;

· At least three year working experience in developing countries as PO, PM or similar;

· Proved experience as project manager implementing development projects;

· Excellent knowledge of Italian language;

· Good knowledge of English and/or French languages;

· Previous experience in Middle East Area is an added value;

· Previous experience in TVET system and education is an added value.
