Main objective: The Project Coordinator will coordinate a resilience project funded by UNICEF in Ituri province (Northern DRC) and leaded by another international NGO contributing in implementing it and collaborating with the various consortium’s partners and different stakeholders. He/She will guarantee an appropriate monitoring and quality services delivered to targeted beneficiaries

Reporting to: Country Representative (1st Supervisor), Desk Area Manager (2nd Supervisor)

Specific duties:

· To be responsible for the activities related to the AVSI project in Ituri territory (mainly Education, Child Protection and Cash Transfer activities)

· Carry out regular field visits (field monitoring, evaluations, reporting, etc.)

· Ensure regular update of the project planning and tasks based on monitoring and reporting

· Keep good relationships with the programme leading agency (ADRA) all relevant stakeholders in the area and include them at the various stage of implementation

· Train staff in accurate recording, compilation, analysis and reporting procedures;

· Ensure accurate data collection and analysis

· Provide direction and mentoring to the field team in the development of plans and implementation of activities

· Represent AVSI RDC at district-level coordination meetings (Clusters, Working Groups) and share with the supervisors the main points of the discussions

· Work in close collaboration with both locals Operations and support units

Essential Requirement:

· University degree, preferably in a topic related to project management or international development; a Master on Humanitarian Studies or African Studies an asset

· 3 years of professional experience in humanitarian / emergency contexts

· 2 years in management of humanitarian or development projects

· Previous experience working with local partners and/or in remote-control settings

· Excellent knowledges of Ms. Excel

· Fluent in French

· Previous experience in DRC an asset

· Willingness to travel within the country
