Main objective:

The PM will coordinate a multisectorial action funded by the Italian Agency for International Development (AICS) in North Kivu province territory contributing in implementing it and collaborating with the various stakeholders. He/She will guarantee an appropriate monitoring and quality services delivered to targeted beneficiaries

Reporting to: Country Director (1st Supervisor) Desk Area Manager (2nd Supervisor)

Specific duties:

· To be responsible for the activities related to the AVSI-AICS project in North Kivu (mainly Primary Health Care and WASH activities)

· Carry out regular field visits (field monitoring, evaluations, reporting, etc.)

· Ensure regular update of the project planning and tasks based on monitoring and reporting

· Keep good relationships with all relevant stakeholders in the area and include them at the various stage of implementation

· Train staff in accurate recording, compilation, analysis and reporting procedures

· Ensure accurate data collection and analysis

· Provide direction and mentoring to the field team in the development of plans and implementation of activities

· Represent AVSI RDC at district-level coordination meetings (Clusters, Working Groups) and share with the supervisors the main points of the discussions

· Work in close collaboration with both locals Operations and Support Units

Essential Requirement:

Candidat profile:

• Preferable academic studies in Medicine, Development, Economics, International Relations, Social Sciences, (education, anthropology, sociology…) or Demography; a Master on Humanitarian Studies or African Studies an asset

• Previous working experience in Project Management (minimum 2 years) managing multisectorial programs

• Good knowledges of Minimum Humanitarian Standards (SPHERE)

• Fluent in French and Italian

• Previous experience in DRC an asset

Skills:

• Strong capacity to work under-pressure

• Strong facilitation skills

• Strong communication skills and cross cultural sensitivity

• Willingness to travel within the country
